Pre-Treatment Care

Avoid hair removal: Stop waxing, plucking, or threading the area you want treated. You should also avoid tweezing between appointments

Grow out your hair: Allow your hair to grow to at least 2 mm long. This gives the electrologist enough hair to grab with tweezers. Shave 3 Days before

Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water before, during, and after your appointment.Electrolysis works by using the water in your hair follicles.

Avoid sun exposure: Limit sun exposure in the days leading up to your appointment.

Avoid certain products: Stop using retinol products and exfoliating products like enzymes and chemical exfoliates.

Take an Extra Strength Tylenol about 30 minutes before your appointment.

Arrive clean: Show up with clean skin and a light moisturizer.

Follow aftercare instructions: Follow the aftercare instructions given to you by your electrologist.
Possible Skin Reactions

Redness

Post-Treatment Care
-
Do not touch or scratch the treated area.

Avoid any friction.

During the first 48 hours after treatment, apply a soothing product on the treated area.

Avoid greasy, perfumed or alcohol-based products.

Apply cold water compress if necessary.

Avoid hot showers, baths or saunas for first 48 hours.

Avoid UV exposure 48 hours before and 72 hours after treatment.

Apply sunscreen regularly.

After 7 days or when the redness is gone, gently exfoliate and moisturize the area.
